I could be wrong, but I don't think decimals were around when the romans were.

First recorded use of decimal point circa 1550.

The Romans didn't have 'zero' either.

The probable answer is 'PI' which is 3.14 ......... to infinity
They probably used the same symbol as the Greeks - π
