HELP for my electronic project at uni

I am doing an electronic project about wireless data transmission, but my teacher wants something more complicated like wireless data transmission in both ways, besides the idea of the project needs to be original.
I am thinking to do a device for homes base on sensors, which send and receive information in order to the user can take decisions. Any ideas or suggestions?

Are there any astronomers or telescope experts here?

Frankly I don't understand what you are talking about. What does "wireless data transmission IN both ways" mean? If you mean "wireless data transmission both ways" then that's what normal WiFi does anyway.
