Thinking more about space/time and illusion

Well, I was thinking about my question in a previous post......well, space and time can be measured, so therefore they cannot be an illusion? Does anyone see anything wrong with that conclusion. If you can measure something, and it greater or lessor at times, incremental, etc. it must exist.

The measurements themselves could be illusory.
You can measure the size of a rainbow, but that doesn't make it real.
Ditto a mirage.
I thought space was forever expanding, so how can it be measured?
