Are you sure that you've got this right? For AS levels you will already have done the practical assesment, 18th May is just the day the marks are submitted. There's usually no timed / exam conditions practical assesment like in Art or Photography.
there are for some exam boards. edexcel for sure. we have practicals, with no advance information about them (although the staff do), and they're done on a date set by the exam board, in exam conditions. and you sure as hell shouldn't be trying to cheat like this.
Maybe jerimia is trying to find out the setup of the assessment. When I did my A-level practical assessment we had to do three different experiments. Two short ones and one longer one. Total time was about 1hr-1hr 30. Can't remember exactly. The experiment aren't too difficult. They should already be mostly set up. You will probably be asked to complete the set up and then make some measurements using this equipment. If you've done any practice work the assessment will probably be similar.
