Crop Circles

Are they authentic? have they been proven to be hoaxes? How common are they?

Atmospheric vortices sometimes result in rough circles being formed in fields. The precise, complex formations can be produced by humans. If they are of an alien origin then what possible purpose would they serve? Communication? Unlikely as crops are seasonal and are not grown on many parts of the Earth, besides an intelligent (friendly) race would not destroy valuable food source. They would do what I would do, just knock on the front door!

All the crop circles are man made. Often commissioned by farmers in Wiltshire so than can charge the gullible to see them.  See
