.with the aid of suitable examples and diagrams, discuss the applications of electrolysis. (definite examples required).

honestly there was to be a chapter in your txtbk on this
I would choose silver/copoper plating
silver on one side and Iron on the other (Ag and Fe)
the half equations are ag++ + 2e -> Ag
and Fe -> Fe++ + 2e
and elecgtrolysis of sea water in the production of .... is it chlorine or NaOH
anyway there will be a bit in the textbk on that
and yo need a third example
if youa re doing A level I would choose the PH electrode (because it is interesting)
if you are doing something less than that then the production of another metal - al - chromium, titanium, rhodium, mnaganese have all been produced by electrolytic processes I think
