Ohm's Law states that the current passing between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference between those points. (The constant of proportionality is defined as the resistance between those points).

I'd describe it as obvious.
Ohms Law states that the Current flowing in an electric circuit is directly proportional to the voltage but inversely proportional to the resistance .

i.e Current (I) is equal to the Voltage (V) divided by the Resistance (R) or
I= V/R
One of those annoying things what we had to learn in School.
I didn't learn it at school baldric but it was probably the first thing we were taught as an apprentice electrician.

Ohm's Law defines the relationships between (P) power, (E) voltage, (I) current, and (R) resistance. One ohm is the resistance value through which one volt will maintain a current of one ampere.

Haven't a scooby what that means, but if it helps, hey my living will not have been in vain.
I was taught to remember the formula V=IR by writing the word GIN after it, Nothing to do with Ohm's Law but a lot to do with resistance!
