A teacher who has been lawfully sacked for lewd conduct with a broom stick insists she was merely demonstrating this law.

I have no idea if this is a valid explanation or not. Can Hooke's Law be demonstrated in such a way?

A slight misunderstanding, perhaps?
.

Hooke: ut tensio sic vis

I thought you needed the law in Latin - hey the Cardinals could recycle that one ! - " As the tension so the force "

Presumably the broom perhaps hidden in the great part by being held between the legs, got longer as you pull on it ?

I wouldnt like to go to court on that one
Perhaps it was part of her course

' Science can be fun '

and pupils were invited to add their own one-liners like
Pull the other one !

and 'Keep abreast of modern science'

and Darwin said: Sex is good for you !
The only elasticity involved seems to have been in the veracity of the statements given by the teacher's pupils. Two of them who claimed to have witnessed the alleged sex act were absent from school on that day!
