Rotating Black Object In Sky

At around 6:30 pm today my brother called me outside to show me a slow moving object in the sky. It took be at least 10 minutes to find it so that's an indication of how small, and how up it was. It was only until we got out our binoculars that we began to see some real detail. The object was shaped like a candy cane, except with a shorter straight part. It had 2/3 blue headlights and was rotating in all directions, almost like the "pilot" had lost control.

Truly in awe here, any one have any serious answers?

P.s, no this was not a plane, helicopter, rc toy, hot air balloon.

That's a good call canary, the curved canopy could look like a candy cane and the motor may have lights on it. It may also have an erratic, rotating movement.

So small it took 10 mins to find it and again, so small it did not show up on a photograph! hardly a good description. Possibly one of those metallic Helium balloons you get with reflections of street lights off the shiny surface as I spun in the wind?
