A question I often ask myself, I shall follow this one with interest.
her and her husbands remains were pretty damned dangerous in an episode of the simpsons
Her laboratory notebooks are still so radioactive that they are kept in a lead-lined safe

marie herself is not up and running around.

She used to carry 1 mg Radium around, and ended up with aplastic anaemia. The presentation is similar to the then common TB Bone marrow (from wh apparently Eleanor Roosevelt expired from). Curie always denied that radium could be harmful

I am not sure if she herself is glowing in the dark. (like ET)

Her lab notes certainly are -and are under lead.

What's the half life of radium, anyway?

*answers own question*

radium-226 about 1620 years
radium -221 about 30 seconds.

He Hee - that'll get the "ooh it's radioactive, innit" lobby.

Possibly yes, and no!

Do you happen to know which episode of simposn it was? I have to do a presentation on a celebrated scientist as part of my teaching course and I'm doing Marie Curie and want to show that clip as part of my presentation but I can't remeber what episode it was in!
