How Can People Hear Speaking Voices Different?
I now try explain this best as I can:
For example, Let’s say that there is two guys Tommy and Andrew. They both have heard their other friend Simon talk. They all have other friend, Frank. Andrew thinks that Frank totally sounds like Simon. Tommy thinks that totally not.
How that is possible?

This explains why some language groups can not seem to detect error in the way they speak a foreign language; an obvious example is the oriental difficulty in hearing a difference between 'r' and 'l'.
Surely this must play a smaller part in what closer individuals hear. One hears the similarities in the third party easily and doesn't detect the differences, the other is more attuned to hearing the differences, and doesn't notice the similarities.

and recordings of John Bird whom you also dont know mimicking Harold Wilson to listeners, and they could not tell the difference
Machine voice analysis took a big hit on that
or to put it another way
People who made a living sounding like Margaret Thatcher
really did sound like Margaret Thatcher
