evolution - further reading

I've enjoyed reading some of the threads on the topic of the 'missing link' aspect of Darwinism. Can anyone recomemnd any good books (written in layman's terms) on the subject?

Missing Links: Evolutionary Concepts and Transitions Through Time (Jones and Bartlett Series in Biology) by Robert A. Martin
Got it on Amazon a couple weks ago. It is written very simply (for non-science geeks).
Hope that's what you're looking for!
No really about evolution per se but the Science of Discworld series covers evolution and many other subjects in the same light-hearted format of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels (if you're not a fan, they probably won't be your thing).
As someone who's very interested and quite well-read in science, these "silly" books showed me quite a bit of stuff that I wasn't aware of. I've just finished reading the third book which covers human evolution, from what made us different from earlier species down to why we like to tell our children nursery rhymes etc.
