Does a woman need a bra in Space?  I saw some dodgy quiz this morning and that was the last question...but they ran out of time.

Depends why a woman "needs" a bra.  Are we talking fashion and appearance, or comfort?  Body parts won't be sagging downward in zero gravity, but if they are wandering off in every direction, some kind of restraining device might still be advisable.

My immediate thought was that it might help to avoid accidental facial bruising.

sorry cooky dont know the answer but this is the best question i have ever seen on ab so far

And on reflection, I think I want to move to space, but probably the buses have stopped, though I did see one reversing out of the garage earlier which looked like it needed space.
probably a space suit would be better.
It could be a bit of a fiddle getting it on, couldn't it?
Being serious- with difficulty - gravity isn't a problem, but momentum is. As her body moves, the breasts will lag behind - in the opposite direction - a bit as if she was "running on the spot" on earth. She will need a bra even more because the movement isn't damped by gravity. The mental picture is persistent!

I thought I would have a look at the NASA site to see if there is an FAQ section or something similar.  I typed "bra" into the "Find it @ NASA" box and, lo and behold, it came up with reference to the use of a BRA (Bag Restraint Assembly) during EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity).

They think of everything, don't they?
