Nasa? Do you honestly believe that if a giant asteroid was on its way to us that they would tell us? They'd tell us if they did and only at the last minute if it was 100% inevitable as they wouldn't want the whole world to panic, go into melt down and collapse if they were wrong

Nasa constantly monitors space for potential asteroid collisions and DOES issue warnings as soon as they are confirmed, months or even years in advance.

The object is being constantly monitored and updates will be issued as necessary.
