The Big One could be as little as 30 to 50 years away. Until now it had been thought to be a million or more years away.
There are bigger problems than Brexit to worry about!

After Mount St. Helens, Soufriere Hills and the Iceland one, so-called experts should be drilling a big hole and piping the hot heat up to a big spinny thing which in turn will create electricity using magic as always and release the pressure.
A network of pipes can then be run to every country in the world (except France because they don't need hot water, v. smelly) and a new age will dawn.
Of course I expect my plans to be pooh-poohed by so-called scientists with a vested interest in keeping us all shivering with cold and fear while their demonic engines disguised as "wind turbines" slowly try to blow the planet off course for their own reasons.
President Trump was right: Covfefe!!!!!!

Tilly....you may part of the answer. Scientists have posited that Yellowstone could be "tapped" in some way, as to reduce the enormous pressure building up.
But it would cost huge sums of money and as long as we have a President that would rather spend billions building walls, rather than dealing with this potential problem, I wouldn't hold your breath on anything happening soon.

YMB...and there is also a realistic view. I think nobody disagrees that when Yellowstone blows, the effect upon the immediate surrounding in North American will be massive. Depending on weather conditions, the black clouds would drift westwards, and could envelope the planet. It has happened before after all.
