What's the best way to clean a silver and cz tennis bracelet? I'm 90% sure it's silver and not silver plate, but there's that nagging doubt. My thought is to put it in soda water? but i could be completely off. idea's please x t.i.a x

Most jewellers stock a proprietary jewellery cleaning fluid (you need to buy different versions for silver and gold). You lower the item (using a basket-like device supplied in the container) into the fluid for a few seconds. Remove and rinse and hey-presto!

It works wonderfully and is especially useful on intricate items which would otherwise be awkward to clean.

Be careful if the item is plated rather than solid silver (I think the fluid is a dilute acid). Consult the jeweller if you are unsure.

Place some tin foil in water with soda crystals then lay the bracelet on the tin foil (in the water).

We used to clean silver tropies this way and you would be amazed how clean it ends up.
