I'm going to an Evening with a Psychic Medium on Friday. I'm really looking forward to it.

Have any of you been before? What was it like? Will I need a hankie?

I always know what's going to happen when I meet a psychic anyway, so I can't really see the point.
Load of codswallop IMO but entertaining of you don't take it seriously.
Don't go, QoM. They'll be con men/women.

A sense of humour/irony would be a good start !
Every genuine one should be a lottery millionaire.
who ? where ?
Don't go!
But if you do, you don't need a hankie, just a great big pinch of salt!

Gifford Minty.

She's good the girls I'm going with have been before.
For my birthday a few years ago, my sister booked a medium. She did not know me, I did not know her. My late mum talked to me through her. I have a recording of the session (she was very honest). Quite a bit was wrong - but rather more was accurate.
You may need a hankie.
Many, if not most, are, of course, charlatans, but sometimes (just sometimes)I 'know' things and I am prepared to believe that some people can 'tune in' to I-don't-know-what.

The things I just 'know' (on no grounds whatsoever) have always been correct.

So you psychic groupies actually believe I a spiritual dimension?
Or just a laugh?
If she's 'good' she's picked up on clues from the friends of people she's met.
Don't put yourself in a position to be hurt by a conwoman

my late mum went to one when I was about 4. The first thing she said to her was 'you have something on your person that doesn't belong to you' My Granny had left all her jewellery to me, but this day my mum borrowed a ring. I'll have an open mind. I see what you mean though Jourdain - theres things I know that people just don't. Will see how it goes.
So who are they tuning in to?
Satan loves giving people enough truth to lure them away from the one true God.
But how will you ever know?
Think about it.
There was a medium on in my local village hall recently. I was going to go for the entertainment value only, but then I heard it was for people to communicate with their dead pets. I decided not to waste my time and money possibly hearing about my old cats and what they thought of the "after-life".
Don't waste your money, QofM, unless you want a laugh.
Hey, why not go and experience it, and let us know how it turns out.
Imagine getting the inside track on the lottery, stocks and shares, and when to bring the washing in before it rains!

I might Sanmac. Its only a couple of quid and i don't go out much too especially with the girls. So I'm going to go just to get out the house.
Usually they have the names of those attending in advance.because it's on the booking... quick search on a few ancestry sites and I have a message for someone here called Mary.... you had someone close to. you pass away. I think his name was Arthur.... was it your husband dear.... or. June you have three daughters, your grandmother thinks you are doing a good job ..... etc
they'll cold read you, tell you what you want to hear and charge accordingly. The good ones will do a thorough investigation first so they can amaze you with things they "could not possibly know" - Basically they are private investigators crossed with a shrink.
A medium is not a seer.
Go, enjoy. Maybe take notepad & pencil.
