If we put plants in space. would we be able to breath in space?

What do you mean by "in space?" If you mean just in some region of space, i.e. in vacuum, then no, the plants wouldnt survive either.

If you mean by making the plants survive on say, the moon, and covering them in large domes to catch the oxygen they produce, then yes, it's perfectly possible.
