No. Simple as that, really.

Absolutely, yes. years ago, I read about my sign - Scorpio - in Linda Goodman's 'Sun Signs' and the level of accuracy was spooky! Get a copy and test it out.
The rennaisance was just something that happened to other people for you wasn't it Balrdick?

How could it? A baby was born at the same time I was born and at the same hospital, so we have the exact same birth sign. How in the world could the sun, moon, and stars at that exact moment have some sort of impact on his life and mine? Are he and I both lucky at the same time? Both going to meet someone special at the same time? Both have the same personality and character?

What about twins? Some are the same, some are quite different from eachother.

I cannot believe it, but I do understand that many people believe it.

Absolutely bilge. A scientist by the name of Forer conducted an experiment where he conducted a personality test on his pupils, disregarded the results and gave all of them the same personality profile. He then asked them to mark it out of 5, where 5 meant it was excellent. The average mark given was 4.26, meaning over 80% of people thought the 'results' were an accurate depiction of their personality. It's been repeated many times since and the average has remained constant. More here:

I thought about something similiar rampart. If a baby is born at say 23:59:59 the day before the star sign changes, would the baby really have a different personality if it had been born two second later? (Hope that made sense). So for that reason and many others: NO I do not believe in it!

Well that said I think star signs are mighty fun :)

My dad was in a experiment similiar to that waldo. Good for him he didn't believe in it before he was in the experiment :)
The way that astrologers see it is that the moon influences the tides of the sea, the sun decides day and night etc, so humans who are made of the same things as the earth (we all came from the big bang) can also be influenced by the universe. Kinda makes sense when you think about it that way
I don't believe it! Gemini's are supposed to be cheerful, gregarious and outgoing people, longing to begin new projects, but having trouble seeing them through. I'm focussed, relentless and extremely boring company.

YES. To a limited extent.

Your proneness to schizophrenia varies depends on which month you were born. And that's a fact (no kidding).

Would that be nine months after Christmas or Easter?
You are not boring, Drusilla!

I think it prays upon peoples belief in coincidence. There are only 12 star signs; there are billions of people in the world, the star signs' characteristics' are somewhat vague and could apply to everyone at some time or other, and so the probability of a whole bunch of people who all share the same sign being of similar character trait is quite high.

"oh, Hi, blah blah blah"
"oh I know, I completely agree"
After several hours:
"oh, and I'm a scorpio, I'm just like that"
"oh wow, what a coincidence, so am i, that must be why we get on so well"

Perlease! They had a one in twelve chance of being under the same star sign. That's quite good odds really. Load of old toshadoodledo!
People who are characters tend not to have character!
People who are judgmental tend to have poor judgment!

Unfortunately this kind of broad characterization does not bode well for those who are the exception to the rule. Although tendencies can point to where a problem might exist; prejudice should not be conclusive to the final verdict. Conversely, we must be willing to criticize and prepare for criticism if we prefer growth to stagnation.

No.

One of the prominent astrologers said a while back that this was the case. He (I can't remember who it was - can't even think of tha name of one at the moment) said that the planets had moved so much since the signs were first 'assigned' that they no longer bore any relevance to the dates quoted.

Therefore (and this is my extension of the statement), read all 12, and you're fairly likely to find something relevant. If you believe in the star sign predictions, you can always find some similarity between what has been predicted and what actually happens - that is why they are so vague
