Light travels, it doesn't really "move" because it can't bend. Light, unlike sound, can travel through a vacuum which is why we are able to see the light from the sun whilst we are on earth.

The sun is a giant ball of fire. As you know, fire is bright and warm. We can see light from a fire in the dark and we can feel it's warmth.

The sun is a giant fire ball, the energy from it is directed towards the earth (but not only towards the earth, it's a sphere so energy will be emitted 360 degree) and that is how we can see light and feel warmth from the sun.
