It is actually so that you can tell the difference between them.

It's not actually the snot that is green, it's the bacteria that lives in it. That's why when you have a cold is looks greener, cause its wet and warm the bacteria multipy really quickly. Some people actually have blue snot (but it's rare) same reason just their bacteria looks blue when ther is a lot of it

you can get blue liquorice in the shop down the road to my house and it makes your poo blue.
