No Boaty again - I sincerely hope his absence from AB does not represent anything serious and he returns soon.
I can't believe it's Thursday already. Where has the week gone?
Nothing much on the agenda for me today except for a bit of private work on my laptop of there's anything doing and maybe I'll finish off my current read and start one of the multiple books I had for Christmas / my birthday.
Morning all, ugh - feels like a brick has hit me....(just catching uo with sleep, not the dreaded C).....the highlight of the day for me today - seeing in the loading of all the duck food into a stable....lucky quacks!
Morning all. I too hope Boaty is OK. I don’t join in these threads v often as I’m most often too late / getting up for work but I seem to have woken early and be unusually bright (I’m not really a morning person).
I think it's my ultimate dream to live in the country and keep chickens.
My late maternal grandparents had 70 chickens at one point and a couple of geese. They also had a rooster and a ferret but the rooster made it to the dinner table PDQ, as I think the novelty of the 3:45am cockadoodledoo soon wore off.
Morning, ZM. I'm not a morning person either but I always find I do wake earlier when I'm on leave, when I'd much rather be catching up on my Zzzzz. Sod's law.
Well duck mating season, which is not that far off, is a pretty lively and noisy time - especially with all the gang-bangs and cuckolding going on. They don't half travel around for it as well - I'm some hundred and fifty yards from this enormous pond and fifty feet above it and last year there could be a good fifteen to twenty ducks around. Almost tripping over them!
