What do ABers make of this report, which seems to say that the USA is not behind a high tech program, but maybe some other earthly power is responsible?

There's been so much misinformation over the years that I find it hard to know what to think. The USA says that they have no evidence of ET presence.

I'm pleased that the report seems to take the UFO subject out of the realm of crankery and more open to sensible discussion.

Zacs, if the USA (or any other earthly power) had such capabilities, I would be surprised that they hadn't confirmed it. It would be an excellent way to be top dog on the planet and to scare off the other big powers so as to bring some sort of global peace and mutual cooperation to save military expense and divert funds to help save the planet from war, famine and destruction.

So, conversely, you’d be surprised at a major world power keeping brand new technology secret?

Well, they could keep it secret because they didn't want world co-operation, but wanted world domination or a cleansing of the planet by destroying those of the wrong colour or religion or doctrine, but then why not simply use the tech to wipe them out? Maybe it's not yet powerful enough to do that.

I'm not at all sure why they would want to keep it secret. Anybody got any ideas on that?

Of course, maybe thay have no super-tech, but then it's unlikely that others have it. As it is, their report seems to leave wide open the possibility that ET is suspected but not yet established.

Who knows what is going on?

Zaca, the USA didn't keep nuclear bombs secret, once they had them up and running. They had to reveal what they had, in order to keep other nations in place. So, as I said, I'd expect them to let the Russians and Chinese know if they had advanced tech which was working as well as UAP's seem to work.

Also, if they had such high tech, I don't quite see why they would release the report they did release. Of course, the workings of the world-wide military community are difficult for we wee ones to fathom.

Zacs, the UAP's (unexplained aerial phenomena, aka UFO's) have been performing hypersonic flight and apparently non-inertial course changes (e.g. instant 90 degree course changes) for many years. They don't seem to be unsophisticated test-flight models. From the recent videos released by the USA they seem to impress the navy pilots no end!

Thanks, Kardashev, I know what the U stands for. What puzzles me is that the reported performance of these UAP's seems to far exceed the performance of known terrestrial craft. If that's true, then is it more likely to be natural phenomena or something under intelligent control, and if the latter, whose control?
