So i am learning how to measure bp of a person. Like i am measuring bp of a person like when very faint heart beat sound starts at 140 then heart beat becomes louder and clear at 135 then its maintain that sound till 90 then heart beat becomes faint but you can still hear it very slow and it completly disepears at 80

So what will you consider bp of that person
135/90 when you heard clear and lound sound of the heart beat
Or
140/80 when the faint heart beat started and faint heart beat sound completly finished

If the heart beat disappears aren't they dead?
so, are you doing it as a medical professional or just for yourself. WI take my own and never listen to how loud the heart beat is. Maybe thats why mine varies + or - 10 when I take a few readings. Am not sure a doctor would be too concerned about diffrence btween 135 and 140
140/80
Take the reading when the first sounds are heard, however faint and the the reading when it disappears completely.
so are those home testing ones the doctor wanted me to get not really good enough sqad as mine has no lead to put in my ear (you mean like a stethascope?)
Bob, most blood pressure monitors show a reading for the pulse.
Yes mine does and they probly all do danny, but I know I always have a pulse and I know its always 50-55 unless I've just been exercising, but thats diffrent to what the question asks which is about how loud they hear the heartbeat
bobb....the upper arm cuff is perfectly satisfactory in 99% of the time.
I have been using a home BP monitor for years without any problem.I don't understand what the OP is getting at as he appears not to be using a monitor.
the electronic home machines do not need you to "hear" anything. I presume the OP is talking about a manual one, where you have to listen with a stethoscope. Like.

Yes bednobs i am talking about manual one where you pump the cufs yourself and then heard the heart beat i arm yourself with stethoscope.
