hello I got this thing called Zilo from the shopping channel QVC.It's a round circle(about 3inches diameter) of 'special' stainless steel about a centimeter thick.You put it into a dish water halfway up its thickness.it is supposed to get rid of all smells.I have an awful feeling that I have been duped because the thing is not cheap.does anybody out there have any scientific reason why this should work or does it seem impossible to work.depending on your answers I will return it and get my money back

Blow! didnt work (doubt if Zilo does, either...)

I have heard that it does work and they also sell them (for getting the smell of onions or garlic off your hands) in the Lakeland plastic catalogue. I think you posted this somewhere else but here is the link as to how it works again
