Space is a vacuum, so there's no soundwaves. But bearing in mind that all stars are a collection of colossal nuclear explosions, they would most likely give off a huge rumble if we could hear them. Plus the radiation emitted by the sun can be picked up by sensors on Earth as a shrill whistle.
gammary, it wouldn't make a sound because as delboy said, space it a vaccum, and even if it wasn't it would make a crackling sound, it would completely disintagrate it, within nano seconds
as space is a vacuum, if a shuttle or something exploded in space, there would be no sound? Also as space is a vacuum, then when there is an explosion there should be no flames, as there is no oxgen...that means alot of films are incorrect? food for thought.
spaced, it would burn because of the fuel and oxygen in the sapce ship, it might make a sound because it will give off gas which might become sound waves but i am not sure
Sound is just the collision of molecules in your (simplified). If some sort of particles hit your space suit of ship then you may be able to hear the associated vibrations.
Also rocket fuel usually contains an oxidiser. This in conjunction with the fuel is what burns. The expansive force of the reaction forces this spacecraft away from it and the object moves.
