Does anyone know the name of the spray anaesthetic used by doctors and nurses which is sprayed onto skin prior to say a cyst being cut open?

The generic name is Lignocaine.

if it is skin it is more probably ethyl chloride


if it is mucous membrane - I think they use benzocaine

Is it not just a nitrogen spray to freeze the area? I have just had a verruca "done" and that's what the doctor used.
