I found this list - don't know how true it is though.

O Positive 40 out 100
O Negative 7 out of 100
A Positive 34 out of 100
A Negative 6 out of 100
B Positive 8 out of 100
B Negative 1 out of 100
AB Positive 3 out of 100
AB Negative 1 out 200

The above are the main blood groups there are over 200 really rare ones see here:

Always new I was special - I'm AB Negative :-)

lets hope you don't ever need a blood transfusion then!!!

bless

Ooooe yeah nancie, I didn't think of that! Now I dont feel so much special as scared....lol

Panic ye not Boo

You should be able to accept blood from any 0 negative donor

It's just you can't return the favour

Remember Tony Hancock's show . He gave blood eventually AB Neg. only to cut himself and need it straight back ....A PINT!!!
Actually, Boo is in the rather enviable position of being what used to be termed a "universal recipient".

Boo could receive blood from Group O,A,B,and A,B donors if necessary.

In the days when I was working in hospital blood transfusion departments, we often transfused group AB patients with group A or B blood, since group AB was so rare, and there were times when we didnt have any in stock.
<Goes back to feeling special again>
I happen to be 0+ wich would make me able to give to most anyone but only able to recieve 0+. there are type specific blood types for people who have immuno deficiancies and there white blood cells would attack if not the same
