What is the iron content inside and outside of a resting neuron?

The question makes no sense. There is no iron involved in the functioning of a neuron other than in the process of trasport of oxgen in the blood (haemaglobin). It diffuses from there to the neuron.

No it is ion content

The question relates to the fact that the resting potential is due to a difference in concentration of one ion - I can never remember which

and the peak action potential is due to a dfference in concentration of the other cation -

and there is lots and lots of fun in between about voltage dependent permeabilities

worked out by huxley in a giant squid acon in the early fifties
