Can a magnet give you cancer or screw your body up in anyway?

Second: If so how stong would the magnet have to be?

There is a guy selling a Powerful 1" Thick Donut-Shaped Ceramic Magnet STRONG!! on e-bay. How safe would it be to play around with somthing like this?

Here is his description of the magnet: This magnet has an outside diameter of 4 1/2 inches and an inside diameter of 1 3/4 inches and is a whopping 1 inch thick!! Magnet weighs 2 and a half pounds. This magnet is SUPER STRONG: two of these magnets placed face-to-face on a flat surface will interact at a distance of 10 inches!!

Thanx all

They are likely nowhere near as strong as your average MRI scanner!!!! Field strength 0.5 to around 3 Tesla. Thet have no known side effects.
Magnets will do you no real harm. At least, not until you get into the very high strength range.

It's the strength of them that's important however, less so the size. You main concern is not having two of the magnets near eachother to pull together and catch your finger in between.

Some very strong magnets here:

those magnets are amazing fo3nix. i may well have to invest in a few to play with. may cause serious injury? it's like theres a party in my magnetic field and everyones invited
OK If no-one else is gonna ask, I will, what exactly were you planning on doing with the magnet kermit? lmao
your mobile phone will give you cancer WAY BEFORE a magnet ever does!!!
I think you should ask the guy selling the magnet, maybe he's been harmed or knows about it ! What did he have it for ? Hard@it
