If the Earth was the only planet to sustain life then philosophically, if not scientifically, it could be argued that their could be no Universe if there was nobody to perceive it.
Since, however, the statistical likelihood is that there are many millions (or, more probably, billions) of planets with life on them, the inevitable annihilation of our totally insignificant planet by the equally insignificant star which we orbit around, will have no real impact upon the Universe, either scientifically or philosophically.
