I'm assuming you mean Inorganic Quantitative Analysis?

One definition would be the testing of substances or mixtures not containing carbon to hydrogen bonds to determine the amounts and proportions of the individual chemical constituents.

Or if you mean qualitative analysis, it's the identification of (usually) a salt from a set of tests of its chemical properties in order to identify the constituent anion and cation.
