I know at first glance this might look like a question for B&S but bear with me....
I've always thought that dreaming was your brains way of filiing away the events of the day (and possibly an occasional attempt by your subconcious to highlight a worrying concern).
So I think my questions are... Is there actually a scientific reason why we dream? Or is there still some discussion about this?Would something actually happen to our brains if we didn't dream? Also, some people have claimed to have premonitions in dreams, really and truely, how likely is this to actually happen? Is it possible that premonitions are the result of being able to switch off from all daily distractions and just have a dream which may demonstrate a likely occurence in the future?
As usual I've started out with one question and then managed to think of several more.... I'd rather get a kind of factual answer on some of these questions hence why I've put it in here... (well psychology is a type of science... isn't it?!)
i dont really know any of the answers, but if we dont sleep for more than 4-5 days, apparently, we're clinically insane. A human can not function with out sleep basically.
