The Universe as a Day

There's some thing explaining how old the universe is and how long ago things happened scaled down to a day. I think humans were only around for a second or something. Does anyone know what this is or have a link to it.
Also, who came up with the idea of doing this? Who wrote it. Either it's quite famous (I've heard it a few times) or it's quite a common thing to do for scientists.
