I'm pretty sure it's negative numbers since rates of acceleration is positive and deceleration is the opposite of acceleration.
a
The answer is:
b
If you are asked to calculate the acceleration of a particular object and you find that it is negative, this indicates that the object is decelerating. If you are asked to find the deceleration of the same object, you're answer should be the same as before, but positive.
