Frozen Air!

My friend, Jojo, tells me that you heat air at an extreme tempreture to freeze it, is this true?

I rather doubt it but if Jojo knows so much, why not get your friend to explain it.
Liquid air is produced by compressing gaseous air to a very high pressure whereupon it gets very hot. (same principle as compressing air in a diesel engine) The heat is removed and the air is allowed to expand where it cools and liquifies at a temperature of approximately minus 200 degrees Celsius.
The common states are : Frozen, liquid and gasseous.

(For the boffins out there, there are also transitional states, where they are more than one state)

However, in basic terms, frozen is coldest and gasseous is hottest. Air is a gas, and so no matter how much you heat it, it will not freeze.
