Running backwards makes no sense so I concur with bimbo, we are the only ones to run backwards when it is perfectly advantages to run normal.

In the sea however, some of the cephalopods are masters at jet propulsion in a backwards motion. This is necessary because otherwise the tentacles would interfere with streamlining.

Moles can run backwards in their tunnels, their fur has no nap allowing them to move easily in either direction. I've no idea how fast they can go.
