Scientist/artists perception, what's the difference?
I'm interested in the difference between the way scientists and artists view the world. Are the two exclusive? Where are the overlaps? Do the big discoveries come from an integration of the qualitative and quantitative thinking?

yes, Waldo, there's Leonardo and... not a lot else, really. But the sum of human knowledge was a lot less in those days; it was possible to do more than one thing. I doubt you'll find many Leonardos around today.
RoaldoM, I'm told that a scientist is one who, when a beautiful woman walks in the room, looks at everyone else.

I think the will always be an overlap with different peoples perceptions. but the beauty in this is not the things we all see, but the things that only a few notice.
We all look at the world in our own way, and in history artists have inspired scientists and the reverse.
If im brutally honest i think most of the worlds greatest discoveries and achievments have been made by people that would normally considered "weird" or "crazy", with that in mind maybe we should all be a little loopy every now and again.
