If you could stop time then that would mean that the earth stops spinning in space, as this controls gravity would airplanes and all flying things then fall out of the sky due to the absence of gravity?

If there were no time, there would be no change. The concepts of movement and gravity would have no meaning.
Keeping it simple for non-scientists:
If the Earth were to stop spinning, the weight of objects would increase slightly, because of the absence of the associated centrifugal force.
Beware of a simple confusion.

The earth rotates and we measure time in comparison to that rotation (1 day or 24 hours equals one revolution or thereabouts).

Your question suggests that if we could stop time then the earth would stop spinning. Not necessarily so. The earths rotation is not caused by the passage of time its just that its rotation is a convenient measure of time for us to use. So if you stopped the passage of time the earth would not necessarily stop rotating.
Without gravity we wouldn't need planes. We'd just fly over the Spain for our holidays. Wait a minute.... no gravity means no winds means no weather means we are all going to fry!
I wonder why so many people think that there is a direct connection between the rotation of the earth and its gravity?
time began as the universe began. It may be that when time stops, the universe will have ended. Please don't try this at home.
Erm, if there was no gravity wouldn't all flying things NOT fall to Earth.
Is this a serious question?
1. earth's spin does NOT control gravity.
2. if time is stopped, nothing falls.
