Commercial CDs have a pattern of troughs and ridges physically pressed into them. CDs recorded on your PC use a laser beam to burn the pattern into the surface of the disc. Neither technology relies on any electromagnetic material, so the magnetic field around a stereo speaker can't damage the CD. (It's only things like audio cassettes and VHS videos, which use electromagnetic recording and playback technology, which can be damaged by magnetic fields).
