As to an answer - If you were to do this quite ridiculous thing one thing which would be for sure, the distress you would cause the train driver would far outweigh anything you may or may not feel, so think up something else which doesn't involve another human being at all.

Pretty instant I think.

If you think how far a train travels in one second, the time it takes to top you is a tiny fraction of a second.

Just one thing ... make sure it's a "through" train, and not one that's slowing down to stop, otherwise you could just get wedged under the wheel - which is going to smart a bit.

Oh, and "what else would happen"? What sort of question is that? What else do you have in mind?

not sure what would happem if it rolled over your neck, it it hit you head on at 70mph you would be 'gloved' in that all your skin would be removed, any faster than that and you would be in little bits

Just one last thing. If you're planning a "cry for help", don't go for the train thing. Try ...

overdose = stomach pump ... good cry for help (but remember to leave your door open so you can be saved)

cut wrists = bandages ... good cry for help (door, as above)

throw self off building = few broken bones ... good cry for help (but not too high a building. Not Canary WHarf, say)

However ...

head under train = NOT a cry for help. Just ... dead.

Don't forget to phone the local papers first. You don't want to miss your 15 minutes of (posthumous) fame just because the reporter is covering a story about noisy neighbours somewhere down the road.
