jake is right: you must never apply brake fluid to the skin. Conventional brake fluid consists of a mixture of extremely toxic organic chemicals that have a wide range of toxic effects on the body. These include permanent, irreversible loss of vision, loss of hearing, and kidney failure in some cases. You should note that you don't need to swallow the stuff to be poisoned by it - it's absorbed through the skin.
In addition, the chemicals in brake fluid will cause severe inflammation and irritation to the skin following application whether the fluid is mixed with camphor or not.
Forget the idea right now for your own sake!

Whoever said that because they've seen it with they're own eyes means it's valid needs a lesson in human stupidity. Google "Darwin Awards" if you don't believe me. As already said brake fluid is toxic! And just to reiterate what informashun said rheumatoid arthritis has NOTHING to do with rheumatism. Rheumatism is achy muscles or joints. RA is an auto-immune disease which progressively destroys the joints and other organs. The drugs used to treat it are also quite nasty and are not particularly kind to the liver etc. My GF suffers from RA and is sick of hearing people say they suffer from rheumatism "as well". Rant over. Live long and prosper.
