hi iv got a correction factor of 0.69, what i want to know is what is the significance of this and what exactly does this result mean?

It depends completely on what subject/ system you're talking about. It could mean that whatever the rated value of the device you're looking at it only produces 69% of this and what you have to do is to multiply any answer by 0.69 to give you the "true" readings. Or you migh have to add it on, subtract it or divide by it. What, precisely, are you talking about?

it was on respiration and the Conversion of respiratory minute volume to STPD for dry air.
the correction factor was 0.69. i need to work out the corre
cted respiratory volume, % O2 inspired and expired from a nomogram....
