How does one get dry blood off clothes?

I was told to soak the item in salt water.

Soak in cold water, then wash as normal with Vanish Oxy-Multi. It's in a pot with a pink lid, and available in Coop and most supermarkets. This is only suitable for clothes which are washable. Hope this helps. Hopefully the stain is fairly new.

1. put blood on the clothes.

2. let it dry

3. now you can get it off

The key ingredient to removing blood stains is oxalyic acid. It removes the iron in the haemoglobin from the blood stain.

The term Oxy-action or variations on this theme usually indicate the presence of Oxyalic acid in a cleaner.

Chlorine bleaches tend to set the bloodstain. It is all about the chemistry of iron.
