If an individual dies in suspicious circumstances, is dna taken from the body.
I need to know as I have been asked to prove my relationship to my grandmother, the only way i know how is to obtain my fathers dna ....could this have been taken when finding out the cause of death. If so how do i get this ...
I dont know about DNA but why dont you get a copy of your fathers birth certificate which will have your grandmothers name on it. That should be proof I would have thought.
I suspect that this involves rights to an inheritance.
You really need to get some legal advice. Just because you are your father's son does not mean that your grandmother is the biological mother of your father. Unplanned pregnancies happened quite often but were pretty much hushed up in those days.
I believe that even if there is a biological discrepancy, if you have been raised as a son/grandson you have certain rights as such.
