Stain removal

I'm not sure under which topic to post my question.
I have stained a pair of trousers with WD 40 and despite all attempts to remove the stain I have had no success.
Various Stain Devil products, Vanish. iron and blotting paper have all failed.
Any ideas please ?

Try soaking the stained area with a good quality liquid dish soap for about an hour before washing. It works for us, but one never know, does one?
