Does anyone know why the silver jewellery i clean in solution tarnishes quicker that silver I clean with a silver cloth?

Cleaning with a solution involves a chemical reaction, which leaves the surface of the silver "super clean". This means that the oxygen and CO2 in the air can more readily attack the surface of the silver to produce a tarnished appearance.

The same effect cannot be achieved with a silver cleaning cloth.
