Is a Diesel engine more efficient in cold weather or warm weather? Why?

In general a Heat engine is more efficient in cold weather because the thermal efficiency is 1-Texhaust/Tin where Tin is the temperature that the air enters at and Texhaust is the temperaure it leaves.

Which if you rearrange it is what I said - but is there something special about a diesel engine?
OK the answer stands - it looks like it's because a diesel engine is a better model of a heat engine
