What would happen if oxygen was added to a nuclear reaction or fussion process such as the sun ?

 Depends of the mass of the star a supernova could be created or a starving of hydrogen could cause the star to colapse into a black hole? "Just a theory" EG

Late in their lives, when the hydrogen becomes depleted, stars like our Sun can convert helium into oxygen and carbon.
