I have so much enjoyed this 3-night programme, it has been really interesting. The content varied from straight star-watching to interviews with the people on the Space Station. It was enhanced by Brian-o-my-gorgeous-Cox but he makes highly complex scientific stuff understandable. Anyone else feel the same? - I hope it will come back next year!
I'm cross that I forgot to watch the first 2 but saw tonight's. It was very interesting and Brian Cox does make it very easy on the eye! The format reminded of Springwatch.
I only really noticed wossy trying to be funny and he didn't add value IMO. Brian Cox has an attractive face but his intelligence makes him really sexy.
Well I watched most of the first programme, but O'Brien is such an irritant, I never bothered with the rest of it.
Great idea for a series, but would have been much better without the overdone enthusiasm of a comedian I never did find funny
Professor Brian Cox is indeed a genius at explaining things simply to the masses, a terrific physicist and he seems always to have a child like enthusism for the subject that I always find watchable. However I should point out that he is also partially responsible for the D.Ream hit, "Things can only get better", that ushered in the dark Nooo Labour years, still you can't have everything!
Took my son to a lecture that he and two other physicists were giving a few years back for A level students.
Managed to corner him briefly about some slightly more advanced aspects of the Higgs Boson and I must say he's a pretty good communicator off script too and at higher levels.
the other comedian come physicist is Ben Miller (Amstrong and Miller/Primevil) I think he did quite a bit of a doctorate at Cambridge before getting into comedy
